How BuildPoint Ltd collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: 28 October 2026
BuildPoint Ltd (“BuildPoint”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through buildpoint.co.nz, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Information we collect
- Enquiry and quote forms: your name, email address, phone number, location, the service you're interested in, your preferred contact method and anything you write in your message.
- Technical information: when you submit a form, our server records the date, time and your IP address to help prevent spam and abuse.
- Website analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website (for example, pages viewed, approximate location, device type and whether an enquiry was sent). Google Analytics uses cookies. It does not give us your name or contact details.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, arrange consultations and prepare quotes, and to provide our services. We use analytics information to improve the website. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Form submissions are emailed to BuildPoint and to our website provider, Creative Dot, which monitors the website's forms to make sure they are working. Our website host stores website data on our behalf, and Google processes analytics data. We may also share information where required by law.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) transmission. Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and for our normal business records.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to measure website use. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. Contact us at denny@buildpoint.co.nz or call 027 535 6216. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
